A lot of people have seen that commercial you see on TV for a workout place that mocks bodybuilders. You know that type of ad where a bodybuilder it seems can only say "I lift things up and put them down." It usually leads most of us to not want to go to the gym and exercise. Maybe that is because, we only assume we don't think we can benefit from it. If the thought has ever crossed your mind "What are these kettlebells and different weights going to provide in an exercise" then you have come to the right place. You need to know the fact and fiction when it comes to kettlebell exercises in a gym.

1. Muscle weighs more than fat: This statement has been used to comfort those who manage to put on a pound or two while working out or whose weight remains the same. The truth is that a pound of muscle weighs quite the same as a pound of fat - a pound (just like eight pounds of feathers weighs as much as an eight pound bowling ball). Don't shy away from lifting weights because you're concerned about packing on the pounds. If you're not losing weight but replacing pounds of fat with pounds of muscle, your body is still slimmer and healthier. Muscle boosts a faster metabolism - the more muscle you have, the more calories you will be burning.

2. Lifting weights can be torture: People complain that working out can be mundane. They believe that the recurrent act of simply lifting a weight can prevent a hardcore workout hound from getting their workout for the day in. However before you close the door on your hand weight, try to find a new way to weightlift with kettlebells. Now since you have seen this phrase mentioned a lot you might say "what are kettlebells?" Well, quite simply it's a weight that has a handle on it with the workout involving simply swinging and lifting the weight. Kettlebells have many various ways to make your workout awesome. You should know that not every workout is the same.

3. I don't need weight training to be healthy: This goes together with the "muscle weighs more than fat" misconception. Many people, especially women, think that cardio is the only essential part of any workout. But cardio without strength training is like dieting without working out. Weights can make for a more effective workout and help you achieve and maintain the outcomes you want to see while you work towards a healthier you.

Don't let the stories and misconceptions distress you away from the weights in your gym. A good strength training ritual is essential to any person's quest to get and stay physically fit. Though you may worry that weights will make your trip to the gym boring, a vibrant way of working out with weights could be just what you need to keep yourself interested and involved. Stop asking: "What are kettlebells and barbells going to do for my workout routine?" because the answer is simply that they're going to make you a stronger and healthier person. So put your hesitations about weights down and lift up a new pair of weights!
